We all know that food is important. Offering our children a variety of healthy food options from a young age is a great way to ensure they receive vital nutrition. Eating a good variety of foods help them form the foundation of a healthy balanced diet. This may sound like 'food 101' to many parents, however it's simply not happening.
As a father of three, I know just how important good, nutritious food is, and in the right quantity. Fruit and vege can be eaten all day every day in large volumes. Organic is better, however does cost more. I recommend using the 'food pyramid' as a guide on what food to eat and in what quantities.
Now for this video. In this powerful TED Talk by Jamie Oliver, the case is made for an all our assault on our ignorance of food. Obesity epidemics have taken hold in many western nations including Australia, the U.S.A. and Great Britain.
