What is a Chiropractic Adjustment?

A chiropractic adjustment refers to a chiropractor applying force and/or manipulation to a vertebrae that has abnormal movement patterns or fails to function normally.

The objective of the chiropractic adjustment is to remove potentially damaging misalignments along the spine, with the goals of increasing range of motion, improving structure and function, reducing nerve irritability and reducing pain.

A series of adjustments may benefit a patient's health. Corrective chiropractic care (care to correct the shape of the spine) is a medium to long-term process.

Spinal problems may arise when a postural misalignment contributes to nerve interference, disc pressure, inflamed joints and tight muscles.

Over time, and after a series of adjustments, you may notice positive changes to your body. Find out how you may feel after your first chiropractic adjustment.
